Suzuki World Triathlon Hamburg 2024: STILL impresses on and off the course
Over 50 athletes, 11 forklift trucks and 60 helpers participated for STILL this year.
Once again this year, there was no way around STILL for participants and spectators at the Suzuki World Triathlon Hamburg 2024. In addition to the largest participating company team with more than 50 athletes, which secured several podium places in the company ranking, 11 STILL forklift trucks were also part of the team for the first time. As the official logistics partner of the triathlon, STILL helped with the set-up and dismantling, provided vehicles as barriers and kept all the athletes' energy levels up with its own refreshment station.
Just how much energy STILLians have in them was impressively demonstrated by the participants last weekend. At the Suzuki World Triathlon Hamburg they achieved a total of 3 top places - both in the company classification for the sprint distance (500 m swim, 20 km bike, 5 km run) and in the relay over the Olympic distance.
In the Suzuki Company Cup, in which almost 100 company teams competed on Saturday, the STILL teams took first and third place. In the Olympic distance team relay on Sunday, the teams had to swim 1.5 kilometres, cycle 40 kilometres and run 10 kilometres. Here, too, STILL Team 1 impressed with a top-class energy performance and took first place in the company ranking, two minutes ahead of the runner-up.
Full of energy right up to the last metre: STILL ensures optimum supply for all athletes.
One of the main reasons why the athletes did not run out of energy until the very end was due to the STILL refreshment station at Neuer Jungfernstieg. Along the course, STILL employees provided the triathletes with motivation, refreshments and snacks.
Powerful and flexible: STILL as logistics partner ensures smooth processes.
With more than 6,000 participants and many fans along the course, the Suzuki World Triathlon powered by Hamburg Wasser is one of the largest triathlons in the world. An event of this size needs one thing above all else - professional logistics. As the official logistics partner since this year, STILL facilitates this and supports the set-up and dismantling as well as the event logistics with 11 powerful forklift trucks. In addition, STILL played an important role in securing the course last weekend and provided trucks as barriers at prominent points along the Hamburg harbour, the Ballindamm and the Jungfernstieg.
