STILL supports children's and youth projects for education, culture and equality in Hamburg
Giving children a future
Hamburg, December 16, 2022 - Taking responsibility, creating equal opportunities, shaping the future. These are three essential pillars of the corporate values of the intralogistics company STILL and a cause that the company takes very seriously. For many years now, the long-established Hamburg-based company has been supporting three local projects that are committed to equal participation of Hamburg's children and young people in education, culture and social interaction. And this year was no exception: Yesterday, Frank Müller, Senior Vice President STILL Brand Management, handed over a 5,000 euro check each to the Mittagskinder Foundation, the Kultur Palast Hamburg Foundation and the Wilhelmsburg Production School.
Supporting children and young people from difficult social backgrounds and giving them access to education, culture and the job market is a matter the Hamburg-based intralogistics company STILL cares deeply about. "Especially in these challenging times, it is the responsibility of all of us to prove to children and young people that we stand by their side and do our best to give them a successful, healthy and secure future," explained Frank Müller, Senior Vice President STILL Brand Management. "Qualifying them and training them to become competent professionals is also a valuable investment in the future of Hamburg's economy." For this reason, STILL has been supporting the Hamburg projects Mittagskinder Foundation, Kultur Palast Hamburg Foundation and the Wilhelmsburg Production School with an annual donation of 5,000 euros for several years. Yesterday, Frank Müller personally presented the donation checks to all three institutions.
Creating a future for Hamburg's children
At the Mittagskinder Foundation, around 200 Hamburg children regularly receive a healthy lunch. Moreover, they experience a sense of affection, camaraderie and receive qualified support with their homework. The Kultur Palast Hamburg Foundation has been promoting cultural understanding through integrative music and dance projects for more than 40 years. The Wilhelmsburg Production School is particularly committed to equal access to education. Here, disadvantaged young people are qualified for the transition to the labor market, especially in the vocational fields of technology, wood, gastronomy, retail and hairdressing. In addition to financial support, STILL also offers internships, company visits and even apprenticeships in cooperation with the production school. "The sustainable and reliable support from STILL - both on the financial and practical level - is of great value to us and the young people who go through our project," reports Bera Bischoff, division manager in the area of vocational training BI Beruf und Integration Elbinseln gGmbH. "Among other things, it enables us to further expand product-oriented and digital learning and offer young people practice-oriented insights into the labor market and specific opportunities for starting a career."
