For the European Football Championship in Germany in the summer of 2024 STILL supported the set-up and dismantling in ten stadiums with a total of 80 electric forklift trucks. The STILL experts put together a rental fleet that was able to cover a wide range of applications, from heavy-duty operations with large lifting heights to detailed work in confined spaces. For each stadium, around 20,000 kilograms of steel scaffolding had to be moved - sometimes to heights of more than five metres. The forklift trucks were also used in the catacombs or underground car parks of the stadiums. Here, particularly compact vehicles with a minimum turning circle and excellent manoeuvrability were required.

In addition to the consulting competence and experience of the STILL experts, the extensive and versatile rental portfolio of more than 36,000 trucks as well as the comprehensive network of 300 rental and service centres throughout EMEA were important success factors in the cooperation. After all, a high level of vehicle availability and short transport routes are essential in order to be able to set up and dismantle at ten different locations in the shortest possible time.

For this purpose, STILL fitted the trucks with special tyres for changing and demanding ground conditions, enabling them to be used on soft ground in parks or on grass strips as well as on sensitive road surfaces such as Hamburg's Rathausmarkt.
