FM-X iGo automated reach truck nominated for the IFOY Award 2025

STILL continues to write automation history

This year again, STILL is one of the finalists in the race for the most prestigious award in the intralogistics industry, the IFOY Award. The Hamburg-based intralogistics specialist has been nominated for the coveted trophy in the 'Mobile Robots' category with its FM-X iGo. The first series-produced automated reach truck combines cost efficiency, safety and scalability in a new dimension. Whether the company will be able to take the 13th 'Oscar of Intralogistics' home to Hamburg in July 2025 will be decided by the international jury at the IFOY Test Days, which will take place on 24 and 25 March as part of the Test Camp Intralogistics in Dortmund.

The FM-X iGo has been nominated for this year's IFOY Award in the 'Mobile Robot' category. STILL's first industrially produced automated reach truck combines maximum cost efficiency, scalability and easy servicing. Thanks to lithium-ion technology, it is also highly available and, with iGo easy, ready for use in no time at all.

The FM-X iGo is STILL's first industrially produced automated reach truck and combines maximum cost efficiency, scalability and easy servicing. Thanks to lithium-ion technology, it is highly available and ready for use in the shortest possible time with iGo easy. With its narrow aisle width and high lift height, it also meets the growing demand for efficient use of space. "With the series production of the new FM-X iGo, we are consistently continuing our history of scalable automation solutions. This enables us to offer companies of all sizes smart access to efficient, safe and economical warehouse automation," says Christian Ehlers, Product Manager Automation & Intralogistics Solutions at STILL. "The nomination for the IFOY Award is a great recognition of our innovative strength in the field of scalable automation solutions for the entire spectrum of intralogistics."

Great efficiency in narrow aisles

The STILL FM-X iGo meets key challenges in warehouse logistics: It fits seamlessly into existing warehouse layouts and can store and retrieve heavy loads at great heights. The FM-X iGo has a load capacity of 2,500 kg and a storage height of 9.8 metres. The impressive narrow aisle width of just 3,000 millimetres is made possible by the FM-X iGo's safety scanners, which are integrated into the chassis. This enables efficient and safe operation even in warehouse layouts originally designed for manual handling equipment.

Focus on customer needs: Maximum security and easy service

With the series production of the FM-X iGo, STILL is once again consistently placing the needs of its customers at the centre of its product development. In addition to high production speed and service quality, the FM-X iGo meets all the requirements of ISO 3691-4, the international safety standard for driverless industrial trucks. The FM-X iGo is equipped with a multi-level safety system that includes a laser scanner, audible and visual warning signals and an emergency stop button. This provides reliable protection for man, machine and load, even in mixed operation. Given the increasing importance of occupational safety, this is an important decision criterion for many companies. Another advantage is the digital service concept. The standardised design and 'digital twin' of each vehicle enables fast software updates and repairs by local service technicians. This reduces downtime and ensures maximum availability - a key benefit for smaller companies looking to introduce automation solutions easily and cost-effectively.

IFOY audit and announcement of winners in July 2025

The next stage in the international competition for the coveted trophy is the three-stage IFOY audit. It consists of the IFOY test, the scientific innovation check and the jury assessment, in which selected trade journalists from 19 countries put the finalists through their paces. The audit will take place at the end of March as part of the Test Camp Intralogistics at the Dortmund Exhibition Centre. After that, the finalists will have to wait and keep their fingers crossed: The winners will be announced at the IFOY Award Night on 3 July in Dortmund.

About the IFOY Award

The IFOY Award (International Intralogistics and Forklift Truck of the Year Award) is one of the most prestigious awards in the intralogistics industry and is presented annually in recognition of outstanding innovation and achievement. An international expert jury, consisting of leading trade journalists from the major logistics media, selects the winners on the basis of transparent and independent evaluation criteria. The aim of the IFOY Award is to make the industry's innovative strength and performance visible, thereby strengthening its competitiveness and public image. The award is organised by the Conveyor Technology and Intralogistics and Robotics + Automation trade associations within the German Engineering Federation (VDMA). Its patron is the German Federal Minister of Economics.
